When you visit the site

The server logs technically necessary data: IP address, time, requested address, browser identifier. This serves secure operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The logs are not analysed, not passed on and are deleted regularly.

For visitor statistics, the site itself stores for each request: time, page requested, the country (derived from the IP address), the website you came from (domain name only) and the browser identifier. The IP address is stored and deleted after 30 days. To avoid counting visitors twice, a checksum is formed from the date, IP address and browser identifier; it changes daily and cannot be reversed. No cookies are set for this. The purpose is to see which content is read (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The country is determined locally using the database of DB-IP (CC BY 4.0); no data is sent to DB-IP.

There is no advertising, no third-party analytics or tracking services and no embedded content from other providers. Fonts and program libraries are loaded from the site's own server. The site sets cookies only to protect forms (CSRF token) and for logging in to the administration area.

When you send a suggestion

The data entered in the form is stored. Name and e-mail address are optional and are used only for follow-up questions (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, consent by sending). They are not published and are deleted together with the suggestion once it has been processed. The IP address is not stored in this case; only a short-lived, irreversible counter limits the number of suggestions per hour.

Links to sources

Links to original sources and archive copies lead to other providers. Data is transferred to them only when you click; their privacy policy applies there.

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, and the right to withdraw consent. Complaints can be addressed to the Austrian Data Protection Authority (dsb.gv.at).
